2012 is a long way from 2011

That time of year to reflect on what last years goals were and set new ones or see if old ones need to be revisited or discarded.  I gave up on resolutions, the word GOAL gives me focus and reminds me to think of WHY I made the goal and what STEPS I am going to take to achieve that goal.

Last year I was getting to a pretty dark place and knew I had to step up and take charge of my own health. I never look back until I'm getting ready for the new year, so this year I was very surprised and MOTIVATED to see I had achieved my goals WAY ahead of schedule and that proves I can do MORE! I am healed and I am ready for this!!

First I will share last years goals. I don't have an official routine however it tends to follow a pattern of some kind. There are basically 3 things I wind up doing.

What are the priorities in my life?
Vision Board, collage in journal and computer.
List, which I tend to expand on over a month or so.
WHY... why do I want to meet this goals?

My WHY and goals don't work unless I make sure that my goals are in line with the priorities in my life.

I make a list of goals of what I need and what I want (not considering any obstacles, just do it). Then I look back over it slower and cross off anything that just doesn't fit with what my priorities are.  Sometimes goals look like they don't fit, for me they do.  For example, my priorities are Health, family, spiritual.  One of my goals is to get my home organized and de-cluttered.  For me that goal helps with family and spiritual, I relax much better when things are done and I have a clean spot of my own to relax.

Here is some of my goal journal with goals I set for 2011. The focus was totally on me as I was falling apart and needed healing in a big way.

First I made my vision on the computer, at this point I had never heard of Shakeology or Team Beachbody, later I learned 2 of the logos I used are from their producs

Vision Board

Next I wrote out my basic list, categories I guess, then later added to them. Somewhere in this process a friend told me about Shakeology and I added it with a question mark by it because I had no idea what it was.

Red was first category, blue I added later.

Lots of thought and writing goes on for about a month, and all I could come up with is this:

So as you can see, 2011 I was not setting specific goals that I could measure or track in anyway, I just needed to change and change ME fast. I did it! I am happier and healthier and ready to kick it up a notch or two!

2012 is coming and I'm getting a jump start. I originally signed up to be a TBB coach for the discount, I mean really, I am way to fat and insecure to be taken seriously by anybody, hell I didn't even take me seriously.  Well if I didn't take me serious how could anybody else?  I mean look, I've come a long way! I'm off all prescription meds, down about 40 pounds (would be nice if I could say that was it, but still going baby... and I WILL MAKE IT), I got laid off from a job I had for 15 years and managed to pay off my house anyway 8 years early. I'm feeling cocky baby so look out.

I'm still working on my computer vision board for the next year, however I have my handy dandy kindergarten style collage I do in my journal here:

Then my little list, which will be tweaked a bit because I realize I need to think bigger, so this is now considered my rough draft:
Yea, some is blacked out, after all a girl does need some privacy ;)

common sense

the problem with "common sense" is that we expect everybody to have the same COMMON and the same SENSE. What is common and sensible for one group of people may not the the common or sensible thing for another different group of people.

get it? i do. finally.

late night thinkings

You are the only one responsible for YOUR choices, YOUR actions and YOUR reactions. Quit wasting time blaming others and take responsibility. YOU cannot change anybody but YOURSELF. Put your focus where it belongs. Those who hang on your every whining and crying word, are only looking for gossip. MOVE FORWARD and do something POSITIVE! anamaree ordway

Random strange thought for the night that has my head spinning.

Every generation has a theme. Every generation has a war. Ever generation has a problem.

When living in that time it was/is all you hear about. Communists, hippies, disco, rock and roll, dancing, satanic cult killings, sex rings, teenage mass murderers.  Then years later we learn, yes sometimes those things happened however many innocent people were convicted of crimes they did not commit because of hysteria. Lives destroyed, the innocent criminals and their families. All over what law enforcement and the media convinced us was an epidemic.

I'm not saying these things didn't happen, but did they REALLY happen on such a large scale as was portrayed?

missing you

i miss you so much
my heart hurts
i want to fix you
make it all better
i could do that
once upon a time
when you were little
and believed in me
in yourself
in dreams
i want to help you
find your dreams again
for in your dreams
is yourself
your soul
your truth
please
don't give up
you can do this
i'll be here for you
when you are ready
miss you
love you

all around great sunday

Just having a great day so far. Slept good. Weighed in and had a 2.4 pound weight loss :::bootie shake::::

Granddaughter had her 2nd birthday today and everything went well, pizza, cake, playing, gifts, balloons, face full of frosting, giggles galore.

Time with family and friends.

Now just spending the rest of the day with hubby, his last day of vacation and he goes back to graveyard shift.

Doggies are lounging, humans are lounging.

Simple things in life are what make life worth living and I like my life and the people in it.

shakeology ingredients... what is this stuff?

Detailed Nutritioin List at: http://myshakeology.com/AnaMaree

How do you feel about disease prevention, a natural “face-lift”, skin rejuvenation, memory enhancement, improved sense of well being, aid for diabetes control, an endurance aid and tool to fight cancer? It’s all in there! I encourage you to research the Shakeology ingredients for yourself but, for your convenience, here is an introduction to them.
Acerola powder (fruit) -Acerola can be found throughout northeastern Brazil and is rich in Vitamin C and carotenoids, and one of the richest known natural sources of vitamin C.
Camu-Camu powder (fruit) – Coming from the rainforest, this is one of the most nutrient-dense foods, offeringconsiderable disease-prevention and the highest amount of vitamin C of any plant in the world. For a free in-depth report on this fruit, please go here.  http://www.naturalnews.com/Report_Camu_Camu_0.html
Pomegranate powder (fruit) -The anti-oxidant properties of this fruit benefits the heart, can be helpful in treating diabetes, dementia, cancer and menopausal problems, and perhaps even prevents sunburn.
Bilberry powder (fruit) -An antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antiseptic agent, this fruit has shown to improve vision and symptoms associated with diabetes.
Blueberry powder (fruit) – Blueberries are very high in fiber and nutrients and have been proven to lower blood pressure, protect against oxidative stress and maybe even help you lose that hard to get rid of abdominal fat, according to a study published in Experimental Biology 2009.
Lycium (Goji) powder (berry) – These berries contain around eighteen amino acids, are plentiful in iron, with more beta carotene than carrots. Dubbed as a natural anti-aging food, goji is used to treat hepatitis B (because of the physalin produced by the berries), heart and blood pressure conditions, as a memory enhancer, a treatment for breast and cervical cancer, an anti-inflammatory, and an antifungal, antibacterial.
Açai powder (berry) – A powerful anti-oxident that is being studied for it’s beneficial properties on blood pressure, cholesterol levels, heart health and cancer prevention.
Cordyceps – A type of Asian fungus (mushroom) that may have beneficial properties for bone marrow and kidneys, while it increases stamina, protects against free radicals and restores energy.
Maitake powder - A mushroom that has been used in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine to enhance the immune system, regulate blood pressure, glucose, insulin, and both serum and liver lipids, and may also be useful for weight loss.
Reishi powder - Reishi is a mushroom used in traditional Chinese medicine, protecting the liver, as an analgesic, antiinflammatory, and anti-cancer treatments.
Citrus bioflavonoids - Extracted from fruits, bioflavonoids are widely used in Europe to treat diseases of the blood vessels and lymph system.
Rose Hips powder – Rich in vitamin C, rosehips are commonly used for reduction in asthma symptoms and allergies.
Schisandra powder (berry) - An Asian vine believed to be beneficial to those suffering from hepatitis, and seems to work well as a stimulator for the central nervous system, increasing brain efficiency, improved reflexes, and an accelerated rate of endurance.
Suma powder (root) – An indigenous plant to South America, the root has been studied for it’s ability to increase stamina and endurance and reduce fatigue.
Gingko powder (leaf) - The oldest living species of plant on earth, gingko has been used in Chinese medicine to stimulate the blood circulation and have a tonic effect on the brain, reducing lethargy, improving memory and giving an improved sense of well-being.
PROBIOTIC BLEND:
Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus acidophilus DDS-1, Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Lactobacillus casei, Streptococcus thermophilus - Since most degenerative disease conditions can be linked to intestinal toxemia and our inability to properly eliminate it from the body, this is blend is useful for a healthy intestinal tract.
Maca powder (root) – A nutrition-packed root vegetable from the mountain plateaus of the Peruvian Andes that is rich in amino acids, phytonutrients, vitamins, and minerals – known to increase energy, stamina and endurance, support the immune system and adrenal function, reduce chronic fatigue, regulate and support the endocrine system, and even treat menopausal symptoms (it is now being prescribed by many health practitioners as a safe, effective alternative to Hormone Replacement Therapy).
Sacha inchi (Plukenetia volubilis) meal – With an average of 48 to 49 percent omega-3s, Sacha Inchi is an excellent vegetarian source of fatty acids, contains high amounts of protein and can assist the body’s formation of nerve tissues, eye tissues and cell membranes. It may also help maintain healthy cholesterol levels and help regulate blood pressure and support normal function of the immune system.
Yacon (Smallanthus sonchifolius) powder – Grown in the Andes of Peru, Yakon helps to regulate sugar blood levels.
Flax (seed) meal - Flax is high in B vitamins, magnesium, manganese, omega 3, fiber, and our best source of lignans which may promote fertility, reduce peri-menopausal symptoms, and possibly help prevent breast cancer. In addition, lignans may help prevent Type 2 diabetes.
Chia (seed) meal - Not just a cute gift in the shape of a famous mouse, chia is a muscle and tissue builder and a good source of amino acid and Omega 3’s. However, what is amazing is researchers believe a gel-forming phenomenon takes place in the stomach (when food containing these gummy fibers, known as mucilages, are eaten) which creates a physical barrier between carbohydrates and the digestive enzymes that break them down, thus slowing the conversion of carbohydrates into sugar. “In addition to the obvious benefits for diabetics, this slowing in the conversion of carbohydrates into sugar aids in physical endurance. Carbohydrates are the fuel for energy in our bodies. Prolonging their conversion into sugar stabilizes metabolic changes, diminishing the surges of highs and lows creating a longer duration in their fueling effects.” (living-foods.com) read Magic of Chia : Revival of an Ancient Wonder Food by James F. Scheer
*Spirulina and chlorella have been hailed in many studies for some miraculous health benefits! PLEASE download and read this free e-book! If you know anyone struggling with cancer, please send this book to them.
http://www.truthpublishing.com/chlorellaspirulina_p/pdf-cat21249.htm
Here is a small sample of what the book will explain:
“…did you know that, ounce per ounce, spirulina contains twelve times the digestible protein of beef? It’s a far better protein than beef, and it contains a much healthier mineral balance (such as magnesium) that just isn’t found in beef.
Did you know that a phytochemical found in chlorella can actually rebuild nerve damage in the brain and nervous system?
That’s why chlorella is being used in the recovery of patients with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
Were you aware that both chlorella and spirulina can actually reverse cancer in the human body? Both of these superfoods
have been clinically shown to demonstrate stunning preventive and curative properties when it comes to all sorts of cancers.
And finally, did you know that these superfoods also contain a high content of essential fatty acids such as GLA that are routinely missing from the diets of most Americans and yet are critical for healthy brain function? ” (Mike Adams )
Hydrilla – This plant from Asia, Europe and Africa is hailed for providing increased energy levels, improved immunity, improved digestion, reduced body fat, increased mental clarity, decreased appetite, improved joint, hair, skin and nail health, and an overall increased sense of well-being.
Apple pectin powder - Apple pectin is a water-soluble fiber, helpful in removing cholesterol out of the intestines and delaying glucose absorption.
Astragalus powder (root) – Used in traditional Chinese medicine, it is believed to strengthen debilitated patients and increase resistance to disease in general and boost immunity.
Blue green algae – May boost immunity, prevent cancer, heart disease, aid weight loss, improve memory, detox the body and fight malnutrition.
Spinach powder – Spinach has been used for years to help relieve anemic problems due to its high iron and chlorophyll content.
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) – Supports healthy connective tissues like tendons, ligaments, and muscle. Thus, it is important in conditions such as arthritis, muscle pains, bursitis, etc.
Pea fiber – May help to improve cardiovascular health by reducing cholesterol. Fiber is credited with helping to lower bad cholesterol levels in the blood and may thus help to reduce the risk of heart disease.
Quinoa (sprouted) - Quinoa is a complete protein, containing all the eight essential amino acids and an excellent source of potassium, calcium, zinc, magnesium (Nature’s medicine for people suffering from Migraines), iron and B vitamins. Excellent for the heart and since they are an insoluble fiber, it helps in gallstone prevention.
PROPRIETARY ENZYME BLEND:
Amylase, Papain, Cellulase, Lactase, Lipase, Protease, Bromelain – These enzymes aid in digestion, reduce heartburn problems, gas and bloating, may also dimminish allergies.
Ashwagandha powder (root) - Has rejuvenative properties commonly used in Ayurveda for stress-induced fatigue, nervous exhaustion and general debility
Barley grass - Barley grass is hailed as “the” healthiest of the healthy green grasses, acting as a free radical scavenger and known to reduce inflammation and pain. Although nutritionally, they are close cousins to dark green leafy vegetables, the “nutrient density” is much higher (more of the beneficial phytonutrients).
Kamut grass – Ancient Egyptian wheat known for its low gluten levels and contain more protein and minerals than common wheat or other cereal grass.
Oat grass - Contains beta-carotene, vitamins K and C, folic acid, calcium, iron, protein, fiber and B vitamins.
Wheat grass – Wheat grass by itself is not very palpable, however, it contains P4D1, a “gluco-protein” that acts like an antioxidant, reducing inflammation. It is also thought to be able to help the body attack cancer cells. This grass has high levels of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, protein, enzymes, chlorophyll and mucopolysaccharides, and is known to be highly alkalizing to the body, aiding detoxification.
Amaranth (sprouted) (Amaranthus hypochondriacus) – This ancient grain (used by the pre Columbian Aztecs and also in India) is very high in iron and protein. Additionally, Amaranth has three times the calcium of milk.
Grape seed extract (seed, 95% proanthocyanins) -Surprisingly, grape seed extract may be better for you than the grapes from which it is derived. A vast array of health-giving ingredients are in these tiny seeds. Protein, lipids, carbohydrates and polyphenols help the body fight viruses, allergens, and carcinogens. A phenol you might be particularly interested in is procyanidin. Procyanidins bond with collagen. Collagen is a key component of skin, gums, bones, teeth, hair and body tissues. The bonding promotes more youthful looking skin – what has been dubbed a natural facelift!
In addition, procyanidins can improve your vision, the health of your arteries and body tissues (such as the heart), joint flexibility and strengthen capillaries and veins to improve your circulatory system, act as an anti-inflammatory, and scavenges oxygen free radicals. If that was not enough, grapes contain reservatrol, which has proven to contain neuroprotective capabilities.
Green tea decaffeinated extract (leaf, 50% polyphenols) – Green tea has important antioxidants and compounds.
Studies reveal an impact on heart disease and cancer which are promising. The antioxidants, called catechins, scavenge for free radicals that can damage DNA.
Holy basil powder - Holy basil powder contains vitamin C, carpteme, calcium and phosphorus which helps the skin stay healthy and supple by protecting it from environmental toxins. It contributes to the health of the throat chest and lungs and protects the respiratory tract and has been used as an anti-inflammatory.
Sweetened with Stevia - Native to subtropicall/tropical South America and Central America, stevia sweetens whatever it is added to without adding calories. Research shows a regulating effect on the pancreas and has been used to help stabilize blood sugar levels, therefore useful to people with diabetes and hypoglycemia. It may lower elevated blood pressure, aids in digestion, reduces gas and stomach acidity. It has been shown to inhibit the growth and reproduction of bacteria that cause gum disease and tooth decay.
(Greenberry also contains natural strawberry and raspberry flavors, while Chocolate contains cocoa and chocolate powder, with natural vanilla and cinnamon powder for flavoring.)

shakeology- getting healthy and off meds!

Seriously, this stuff ROCKS!  Loaded with healthy stuff and good for me... in fact I find it hard to believe it wouldn't be good for everybody, but then only a handful of people will even give it a serious try when I first bring it up.

I want my health back and I want to help others get theirs back too. We have become a lazy bunch of people, even worse than that is the crap we put in our bodies... do you read the labels? I mean REALLY read and UNDERSTAND what that stuff is that is on the label?

Back in January I decided to try Shakeology, due to my IBS I introduce new foods VERY slowly, no matter how healthy they are.  I started by drinking half a shake two times a week and had already been cutting out processed foods, pop/soda, and drive-thru lunches was next.  I lost 10 pounds in January! That was EXCITING!

I now drink 1-2 half shakes 4-5 days per week and am down 23 pounds, 21% towards my overall goal.  I am walking twice a week for 60 minutes. Still need to get better at a more regular workout routine, or at least more often.

The weightloss is slow because I am slow at working things in my routine, that is just how I work. However, all the things I have ARE in my routine for good. I didn't try and change a bunch of things overnight and then get discouraged and quit.... like I have in the past.

OH BUT WAIT... THERE'S MORE! Tee Hee.
Other wonderful things have happened! In January I was taking Prozac, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid medication and 6-12 more pills a day to keep my IBS from making me drop over from pain.  I no longer take  Prozac, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone or thyroid medication.  AND I only take 2 pills a day to control my IBS and can now see a day will come where it will no longer be a daily dose!

Shakeology expensive? HA! Just guess what those meds cost me, even with a $20 a month co-pay on two of the scripts, the rest was 100% out of pocket! I was spending over $200 a month on medication that didn't do anything to help me!

So what's next? More Shakeology of course... OH, and the P90X protein bars YUMMY!!!!! More workouts more often.... AND I am now a Team Beachbody Coach! I could care less if I make any money doing this or not, I get my stuff at a great discount, have met wonderful and supportive people, and am hoping I get the opportunity to help others get healthy as well.

You can join me on my journey or not. Come along for the ride and we can get healthy together. Don't want to, your loss and I still love you and wish you the best ;)

HEALTH is my #1 goal, I want to live a long time and play with grandchildren and great-grandchildren someday and not be that grumpy old coot stuck in the attic or nursing home that nobody wants to visit cuz I talk to myself and smell funny.

No matter what you decide though, I will always answer your questions through emails or facebook messages. So ask away!

FYI to non-profits, active military and their spouses... you can be a coach for FREE! Team Beachbody is waiving the $39.95 sign-up fee and the $15 a month website fee for you!  Contact me for details because there is an extra form to fill out for those... nothing scary LOL

you think you are a hero?

Are you really a hero when you go to extreme measures to make everybody else look bad while doing nothing positive yourself? Wouldn't it be better to focus on yourself and improve your situation and live life with the happiness and love it was meant to have? Don't waste time, hug the ones you love, quit trying to hurt those you hate. Move forward and make a better life for yourself. Pay it forward and truly enjoy LIFE! ---- AnaMaree Ordway ---- late night lack of sleep ramblings.

Why

Why do I keep punishing myself thinking I can help? I can't help those who don't want it and are unwilling to help themselves.

How do you stop trying to help? The only one truly suffering is an innocent toddler that only needs to be loved, such innocence being used so viciously.... how can one do that and call themselves a mother?  How can one put so much blame and hatred on others to the point of victimising their own child? Using their own child as a pawn in such an evil game?

Hurts my heart...

Helpless & Unknown

so afraid he is going to die

kill himself with this shit.

making poison. experimenting.

killing. death. destruction.

pain. broken. lost. fear. unknown.

Unknown- that is the worst.

the fear. the uncertainty.

the Helplessness.

Helpless to stop the Unknown.

must keep living everyday

my life. my dreams. my goals.

Helpless gets nothing done.

Unknown cannot be stoppped.

Unknown will reveal his true self

when the time comes. then

Helpless can know.

Until then, as Helpless as I am

I cannot stop the Unknown.

I wish I could murder meth

I do not have the ability to put my thoughts into my own words, all I can do at this time is borrow a poem written by somebody else, and cry myself to sleep because my son is so wrapped up he can't even remember it is mother's day.  He walked out 2 months ago to live in a tweak house, says he wants to make something of his life and we are holding him back... FUCK YOU METH!

Hello, My Friend
I destroy homes.  I tear families apart.
I take children and that’s just a start.
I’m more valued than diamonds, more precious than gold.
The sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.
If you need me, remember, I’m easily found.
I live all around you, in school and in town.
I live with the rich, I live with the poor.
I live just down the street, and maybe next door.
I’m made in a lab, but not one like you think.
I can be made under the kitchen sink, or in your
Child’s closet, even out in the woods.
If this scares you to death, it certainly should.
I have many names, but there’s one you’ll know best.
I’m sure you’ve heard of me.  My name’s Crystal Meth.
My power is awesome.  Try me.  You’ll see.
But if you do, you may never break free.
Just try me once, I might let you go.
Try me twice and I’ll own your soul.
When I possess you, you’ll steal and you’ll lie.
You’ll do what you have to, just to get high.
The crimes you’ll commit for my narcotic charms
Will be worth the pleasure you’ll feel in my arms.
You’ll lie to your mother, you’ll steal from your dad.
When you see their tear, you must not feel sad.
Just forget your morals, and how you were raised.
I’ll be your conscience.  I’ll teach you my ways.
I take kids from parents.  I take parents from kids.
I turn people from God.  I separate friends.
I’ll take everything from you, even your good looks and
Pride.  I’ll be with you always, right by your side.
You’ll give up everything.  Your family, your home.
Your money, your friends, you’ll be all alone.
I’ll take and I’ll take till you’ve no more to give.
When I finish with you, you’ll be lucky to live.
If you try me, be warned.  THIS IS NOT A GAME.
If I’m given the chance, I’ll drive you insane.
I’ll ravage your body.  I’ll control your mind.
I’ll own you completely.  Your soul will be MINE.
The nightmares I’ll five you when you’re lying in bed,
And the voices you hear from inside your head.
The shakes, the sweats, and the visions you’ll see.
I want you to know, these are your gifts from me.
By then it’s too late, and you’ll know in your heart,
That you are now mine, and we shall not part.
You’ll regret that you tried me.  They always do.
But you came to me.  Not I to you.
You knew this would happen.  How many times were you told?
But you challenged my power.  You chose to be bold.
You could have said “no” and just walked away.
If you could live over, now what would you say?
My power is awesome, as I told you before.
I can take your mother and turn her into a whore.
I’ll be your master, you’ll do as I say,
Even when I tell you to go to your grave.
Now that you’ve met me, what will you do?
Will you try me or not?  It’s all up to you.
I can show you more misery than words can tell.
Come, take my hand.  Let me lead you to hell.

So I Thought, Now I Am

I thought I was giving so much of myself to everybody and that is why I have been so sick and depressed and tired.  What I now realize is that I have only been trying so hard that all I have accomplished is sharing the worst parts of myself and slowing killing the best parts by neglecting them.  THAT CHANGES NOW!  This will not happen overnight but it will happen.  I will take small steps every day to better myself so that what I share of myself will be good, positive, loving, motivating.  I wil not be perfect, I will trip but I will not fall.  Nor will I beat myself up when I stumble.  Instead I will pick myself up and continue on my journey to a happy and healthy me.

and the reason...

So I show my goals for 2011 to my husband and he says "what about me?".  That is MY point!  I am stretched so thin and getting so stressed out by trying to take care of everybody else that I have no time to take care of me.  When I do, I just veg in front of the TV or play stupid games on facebook and get nothing accomplished other than tuning out reality for a few hours.

By putting myself first I will be better able to care for others when they NEED it.  I am NOT sacrificing myself, my sanity and my health for anybody anymore.  I am no good to others if I cant even take care of myself.

Bless his heart, he actually understood and is thinking about doing the same thing.  Whether he does or not, I am sticking to my plan.

Bye bye resolutions... HELLO GOALS
